La cerimonia dei Billboard Music Awards 2022, condotta da Sean “Diddy” Combs, è andata in onda Lunedì 16 Maggio dal MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas.
Olivia Rodrigo si è aggiudicata sette premi, mentre Kanye West ha vinto sei premi che porta il rapper ad aver ottenuto 17 Billboard Music Awards in carriera andando a pari merito con Eminem.

I tre artisti con il maggior numero di riconoscimenti ai Billboard Music Awards in carriera hanno ottenuto diversi premi nel corso della serata. Drake ha vinto cinque premi portando il suo totale a 34, Taylor Swift ne ha vinti quattro portando il totale a 29 e Justin Bieber ha vinto cinque riconoscimenti portando il suo totale a 26.
I BTS hanno vinto tre premi, mentre Lady Gaga ha vinto nella categoria “Dance/Electronic Artist” per il terzo anno consecutivo. Trionfo anche per i Silk Sonic, Twenty One Pilots, Doja Cat, The Weekend e Bad Bunny.
Ad aggiudicarsi un premio sono anche i nostri italiani Måneskin trionfando nella categoria “Top Rock Song” con la cover di “Beggin’“.
