Years & Years: è uscito il nuovo singolo "Sanctify"

Gli Years & Years sono tornati! A due anni e mezzo di distanza dall’esordio di “Communion”, il gruppo britannico ha pubblicato “Sanctify”, il primo singolo estratto dal loro nuovo album.

Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy e Emre Turkmen sono tornati a pubblicare musica nuova a due anni e mezzo di distanza dal loro album di debutto “Communion“, uscito a Luglio del 2015.

Con tutta probabilità “Sanctify” anticipa l’uscita del nuovo disco degli Years & Years, il cui titolo e data di pubblicazione non sono ancora stati ufficializzati.

Alexander ha commentato il significato del pezzo e del relativo video ufficiale:

“È la prima parte di un grande puzzle, la mia speranza è che metta in totale confusione le persone ma allo stesso tempo le ecciti in modo sensuale e misterioso. Sto facendo questi video perché voglio che le persone entrino nel mio cervello e perché mi piace vivere in un mondo di fantasie tutto mio, un luogo dove la sessualità e il genere siano confusi e dove la magia sia reale. Questa è la mia visione di un possibile futuro, dove chiunque possa mettere in dubbio cosa significa essere umani.”

Il video che accompagna la canzone è stato diretto da Fred Rowson, da un’idea di Olly Alexander, frontman della band.
